Emergency Lock Change vs. Rekeying

Many homeowners confuse these two services. Rekeying is when we remove the existing lock cylinder, discard the old pins, and replace them with new pins that match a new key. The old key will no longer work, but you keep your existing hardware. This is cost-effective and perfect for new homeowners. Lock changing is when we remove the entire hardware and replace it with brand new locks. We recommend this when the hardware is damaged, tarnished, or if you want to upgrade the aesthetic or security grade of your locks.

Smart Lock Install & Integration

Google Trends data shows a massive spike in homeowners switching to keyless entry. We are experts in smart lock installation. Whether you want a WiFi-enabled deadbolt, a keypad lever, or a biometric fingerprint scanner, we ensure it is installed correctly. Proper alignment is critical for smart locks; if the deadbolt rubs against the strike plate, the battery will drain quickly and the motor may fail. We install it right the first time.

High-Security Residential Upgrades

Standard hardware store locks are often vulnerable to "bumping" and drilling. We offer high-security solutions like Mul-T-Lock or Medeco, which feature restrictive keyways (keys cannot be duplicated at a kiosk) and hardened steel inserts to prevent forced entry.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Should I rekey my new house? Absolutely. You have no idea how many copies of the key the previous owners, their dog walker, or contractors might have. Rekeying is the only way to ensure exclusive access.
  • Can you make one key work for all my doors? Yes, provided the locks are of the same brand or share the same "keyway" (e.g., all Schlage or all Kwikset). We can rekey them all to a single master key for your convenience.
  • What is an emergency lock change? If you have had a break-in or a domestic dispute, you need the locks changed immediately. We prioritize these calls to secure the property instantly.
  • Can you install a deadbolt on a door that doesn't have one? Yes. We can perform a "fresh installation," which involves drilling new holes in the door and the frame to add a deadbolt, significantly increasing the door's kick-in resistance.
  • How long does a smart lock battery last? Typically 6-12 months. However, poor installation causes friction that drains batteries faster. Our professional installation ensures smooth operation and maximum battery life.

Sellersville, PA Insights: Population,
Zip Codes, Influence, and Service Areas

Sellersville was founded in the early 18th century. It was centered on a major road known as Bethlehem Pike that connected Philadelphia to Bethlehem and the rest of what was then far Western Pennsylvania. The town was very small and was called Sellers Tavern. Its most notable feature was a large inn. The present Washington House in Sellersville, however, was not Sellers Tavern. The town grew slowly over the years until the Industrial Revolution. In the 1860s the North Pennsylvania Railroad was built, running parallel to Bethlehem Pike: this stimulated the growth of light textile industries and brought a wave of population growth. The East Branch of the Perkiomen Creek runs through the town which connects it to an adjacent town of Perkasie. This creek was dammed in the early 20th century creating a small body of water known as Lake Lenape. Along the length of the lake a park was built on Perkasie and Sellersville lands. In the 1920s and 1930s this park housed a carousel, a roller coaster and several other amusements. The railroad brought hundreds of people from Philadelphia in the summer time, and it became a well known vacation spot for blue collar city workers.
